Link Love

“Link Love” is a term I found on “25 More Ways to Blog Every Day”, a post I’d saved in 2011 from Michelle V. Rafter’s blog, Word Count.

That was the year I convinced my boss to let me work part-time, and it freed up time for me to start this blog! The post was a valuable tool to help me get ideas for posts, and still is!

Here is Michelle’s Idea #50 :

“Share some link love. Fridays are popular days for sharing lists of links to posts you happened upon during that week that were especially interesting, outstanding or profound.” Michelle V. Rafter

…And look at that, as it turns out, today IS Friday!

Link Love

Michelle V. Rafter is still blogging away at Word Count: The Future of Freelancing, and I love the beautiful new image on her site. Naturally, I gravitated to her recent post “12 Books that Influenced My Life”, where I found some new books to check out, and some that I already enjoy.

Mitch Teemley might just be the blogger I have followed the longest. Uber-creative and talented and yet modest, sometimes serious, sometimes hilarious, always inspiring. This post includes all of the above: “Love is easy, relationships are hard.”

I am thrilled that Maria and I discovered each other this year, and I enjoy visiting Maria Tatham Blog. Here is one of her posts, “The Narrow Way”, showcasing her creative writing.

I can relate to Heather Congrove in the way that she has a variety of writing topics, something for everyone. Check out her home page and see what tickles your fancy.

Yeah, Another Blogger – that’s the intriguing name of Neil’s blog – advertised as “An Arts-Filled, Tasty And Sometimes-Loopy Jaunt Through Life”. Here is one of his best posts, in my opinion, “I am Extremely Fortunate”.

In addition to writing about gardening on her website, Sheryl at Flowery Prose writes non-fiction for children, which is where I “met” her. We were both writing children’s books for the same publisher, in the same series, at the same time, and what a coincidence that we were both living in the same city! Here is her “Floral Notes”.

A Pilgrim in Narnia” is multi-award-winning Brenton Dickieson’s blog project: reading and talking about the work of C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, the Inklings, L.M. Montgomery, and the worlds they created. I enjoy especially his posts about these two authors, who are some of my favorites. Here is “CSL:LMM, C.S. Lewis and L.M. Montgomery”.

Wouldn’t it be amazing to meet all the bloggers we hang out with?

I hope you found some new and interesting ideas and inspiration. Thanks you Michelle, Mitch, Maria, Heather, Neil, Sheryl and Brenton!

  1. Big believer in “link love” – I try to do it once a month on my blog-anniversary, and in between in regular posts when I come across something interesting – there’s more than enough room for all of us in cyber space and sharing is caring, so link away I say!

I’m off to check out some of your recommendations – thanks! Have a wonderful weekend, Linda x
