Honeycomb

A little encouragement for when you’re faced with the unpleasant tasks in life…

When we are in the midst of having to do things we don’t want to do, we won’t likely have a flash of joy and anticipation of how marvelous it will turn out one day…unless a wise someone like Aunt Patty comes along!

I hope this gives a positive turn to your perspective today!

About the short story

This quote is from the short story, “The Genesis of the Doughnut Club,” which is part of Lucy Maud Montgomery Short Stories, 1907 to 1908.

It’s interesting that the author is writing as a 45-year-old in this short story, though she was only 32 years old when she wrote this collection in 1907!
