I didn’t exactly fly south for the winter. I flew West and even a little bit North…

While I have been here, I have been thrilled to be able to help homeschool one of my grandsons.
He is a thoughtful and imaginative 6-year-old, who loves having chapter books read to him.
They are more of a 10- to 12-year-old reading level, but he has surprising insights as he shares some of his favorite parts of the story.
Of course he prefers to be running, playing, and laughing outside. But who knows? He might enjoy creative writing, like Grandma does, when he gets older.
It’s my joy to help out with the homeschooling, and yesterday we practiced printing letters.
I like to think that I did my little part to encourage him to enjoy writing of all kinds!
